Writing from Singapore
Well… I got to Singapore last night. Flight took a bit more than 10 hours to Bangkok and 2 hours to get here. They seem to be very organized here, and most of all – very hospitable. The hotel I'm staying in, the M-Hotel, os in mid-chinatown, 2 minutes walk away from the company. The only problem I've encountered was last night, when Singapore airlines decided to send my lagage with another flight, without informing me in advance. That caused us to wait another hour for the next flight to land. The thing is, that they have a '17 minutes' law in the airport. If the lagage is not arriving into the terminal in 17 minutes, the whole shift loses their daily salaries! Only in Singapore! You can actually see supervisors watching their clocks all the time.
Besides that, as I said things are very organized, and you can pretty much ask’em anything. Breakfast here is very nutritious, and the beds are much better than the ones we had in Scotland. Price-wise, things are not very cheap here, but not that cheaper than any other country in the west. The city seems to be very western, and highly crowded.
We started the day with preparing ourselves for the training. Everything went pretty smoothly. After a few ours of training, we needed some food, of course. Our hosts decided to take us to a Vietnamese restaurant. I heard a lot of good things about this kind of food, and it was a new experience. I ate a seafood soup, which was spicy and delicious, with some white rice on the side. The main course was a Vietnamese beef steak with vegetables. It comes with some black&white pepper and lemon, which should be mixed together and put as gravy on the steak. As horrible as it may seem, it was pretty tasty. A local beer washed the whole thing down (general score for the restaurant: 8).
We intend on visiting some good restaurants around the area, and look for some souvenirs, electronics and such.
I hope I'll have more time to write from here, about new experiences in the next few days. BTW – The reason I'm writing in English, is that I have no Hebrew fonts on this laptop, and I feel pretty lazy about installing them. So get used to it.. 🙂

דוקא חשבתי שאתה תצעק עליו למה הוא לא פירט איזו בירה (באמת גיא, איזו בירה? לא מתאים לעבדאללה לנסוע עד הצד השני של העולם בלי לספר לנו על טעמי הירקן, קארי, אורז מותסס וכבשה רטובה של הבירה!)
